What To Expect

An initial consultation with AdoptionDocs can be done by telephone or in person depending on your location. Adoptions are completed every day all over the world, and AdoptionDocs can facilitate those adoptions in a virtual world. We have prepared a preliminary checklist below to help you get started on your adoption paperwork. These items are necessary for AdoptionDocs to complete your adoption paperwork packet.

__ Full legal name and any previous names or aliases

__ Current address and previous addresses for the last 10 years

__ Phone numbers

__ Birth date

__ Marriage date and location (if applicable)

__ Divorce date and location (if applicable)

__ Social security number

__ Homestudy (Doesn't have to be complete but should be underway)

__ Copies of driver's license

__ Copies of passport (if an international adoption)

Depending on the agency and the location of the adoption, other information may be required.

Fees

Domestic Adoption Paperwork - $500 for a couple/$400 for a single parent

International Paperwork by Country (If you don't see your country, please ask. Only the most frequent countries have been listed)

Russia/Ukraine - $1,000 per couple/$800 for a single parent

China - $800 per couple/$600 for a single parent

Guatemala - $700 per couple/$500 for a single parent

Periodic Paperwork Update

Domestic - $150.00 per couple/$100 for a single parent

Russia/Ukraine - $500.00 per couple/$300.00 for a single parent

China - $400.00 per couple/$200 for a single parent

Guatemala - $350 per couple/$250 for a single couple

Fees do not include: State or Federal processing fees, notary fees, apostille fees, shipping or third party fees and costs.

Expedited paperwork is available for an additional fee.
